About me!
Music is more than a passion—it's a journey, a language, and a bridge between cultures. I am Aly, an Oud player and composer blending Middle Eastern melodies with modern influences. My music is deeply rooted in classical Egyptian traditions, taqasim (maqam improvisations), and storytelling through sound.
Beyond music, I’m also a scientist passionate about drug development and research. I see both fields as expressions of creativity, curiosity, and discovery. 🎵✨
Music in Copenhagen
I regularly collaborate with musicians from different backgrounds, exploring the intersection of traditional and contemporary sounds. I perform with the Oriental Waves Band, blending Middle Eastern melodies with global influences, and with the Malmö Arabic-Scandinavian Music Orchestra, which brings together diverse musical traditions.
Beyond these ensembles, I also work in duos and trios, improvising and experimenting with maqam-based compositions and cross-cultural sounds. Each collaboration brings a new perspective, shaping my approach to performance and composition.

Offering individual instruction for all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Lessons cover:
